Well, it's official. Dale Earnhardt Jr has no luck at all. One race after another, regardless of the performance of the team, they just can't seal the deal. It's for more than just one reason too. Wrecks, pit road issues, engines, transmissions, and anything else possible has seemed to put the 88 team down. So much, that it is almost like Dale Jr is crying for help.
He didn't seem to sure of what he wants for next year, he just seems like he wants something to happen now. So exactly what is that something? Well, I for one, have no idea, but it doesn't matter. Neither does Junior's ideas. According to the most popular driver, it's all up to the boss--Rick Hendrick.
He's right too. If Dale Earnhardt Jr had his way, Tony Jr would be on the pit box, and things would be different, maybe for the good or for the bad. Rick is in charge, and he has had experience doing these things before, and he's probably the best man in NASCAR that puts the right people together.
Maybe it has nothing to do with people. Maybe it is just confidence. Being in the so called "best cars in NASCAR" and not winning can take some of that away from you. At this point, nobody knows anymore what the deal is. As a fan, it is frustrating, but it is just time to say, "It's Rick's call." Nobody seems to know the answers, so I guess it is up to Rick Hendrick, like it should be.
