As the next weekend of NASCAR racing approaches fast, the uncertainty around Trevor Bayne continues to grow. After missing a weekend of racing at Richmond International Raceway, there is a big chance Bayne will miss yet another race weekend due to illness.
Trevor Bayne has been in the hospital for quite some time now, however doctors are yet to explain the reason. They have made no diagnoses to his issues, although there is some speculation that it may be caused by a bug bite received a few weeks ago. Still, as time progresses, it seems more unlikely that the bug bite is the real cause of this unfortunate situation for the Daytona 500 champion.
There have not been many specific updates about Trevor's condition or future plans from team representatives from Roush Fenway Racing or the Wood Brothers.
Chris Buescher will likely take over yet again for Bayne in the Nationwide Series if he does not make it to Darlington. Bayne is not scheduled for another Sprint Cup race until the All Star race May 21st.
