Unofficial Results of Nationwide Bashas Supermarkets 200 and The Top 10 In Points
Kyle Busch led every lap of the Bashas Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Raceway, finishing just ahead of Carl Edwards after a close final 25 lap battle between the two drivers. Kyle seemed untouchable all day long, but an adjustment on the number 60 Mustang of Carl Edwards made the race close. Side by side racing was seen between first and second, however Kyle Busch was able to keep the lead each time by the start/finish line. The last driver to lead all the laps in a Nationwide Series event was Dale Earnhardt Jr., leading every lap at Daytona in the 2003 Daytona July race.
As a result of the new points system, the top four drivers were ineligible to score points. Reed Sorenson has the current points lead. Here's a look at the top 10 in points following Phoenix:
Position...Driver...points...points back from leader
1)Reed Sorenson 78
