Joe Gibbs Racing announced on Monday that Michael McDowell is slated to drive the team's No. 18 Nationwide Series car in both races at Iowa Speedway in 2011 -- May 22 and Aug. 6. As of now, those are the only two races McDowell is scheduled to drive for the team, but according to a JGR press release, there is a possibility that more races may be added.
"Any time you have the opportunity to work with someone with the talent and character of Michael, you are excited," JGR President J.D. Gibbs said. "We are blessed with a great group of drivers across all three of our entries in the Nationwide Series next season."
