Penske fields Nationwide car for Hornish
Questions arose surrounding Sam Hornish Jr.'s NASCAR future last season when a sponsorship announcement was made naming Shell/Pennzoil as sponsor of Penske Racing Sprint Cup Series driver Kurt Busch. The partnership with Shell/Pennzoil resulted in the departure from the team of Mobil1, a competing petroleum company that had backed Hornish Jr.'s Cup efforts with the team.
A sponsor wasn't found to replace Mobil1, and as a result, Hornish Jr. won't compete at the Sprint Cup level, at least not with Penske Racing, this year. According to a report from FOX Sports, though, Hornish Jr. will compete in NASCAR for the Penske organization on a part-time basis in 2011.
