Sources Say Danica Will Choose NASCAR in 2012

Sources told ESPN.com Tuesday that NASCAR and Indycar superstar Danica Patrick, along with her agency, is currently working on finalizing a deal to run the full NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule in 2012. While the source says the team that Patrick will race for is yet to be determined, it is believed she will run some Sprint Cup Series in 2012 as well plus the Indy 500, Indycar's biggest event.

Last week, Danica said she was not sure of her plans for next season.

"I suppose anything is possible," she said. "But I know for me, I haven't made any of those decisions yet."

It is probable that Danica will continue to be supported by Godaddy.com, her Indycar and NASCAR sponsor this season. While her contract with JR Motorsports is up at the end of the season, it is also a strong possibility that she will continue to race for that team because of the team's past relationship with Godaddy.com. JR Motorsports is also connected with Hendrick Motorsports, NASCAR's super team.
